The latest phone to come off the LG conveyor belt, the G5 is bringing top end specs along with a unique design, ensuring that it could be one of the best smartphones of the year.
Sporting the latest Android operating system, a modular style and a host of intuitive features - the G5 is LG's biggest launch of the year, especially following the recent disappearance of the LG G Flex smartphone line. So, if you're looking to get some extra information and details about the LG G5, hopefully we can provide you with all you need to know about the phone here.
LG has ditched its normal launch plan for the G5, and shifted the launch forward by a month or so, letting the G5 make an appearance at MWC, which is based in Barcelona. This meant that the launch was shown off on one of the biggest stages on the mobile market, but don't worry if you missed it, you can watch a repeat of the launch show below.
This hasn't affected the actual release date that's been scheduled for the handset though, with the phone still hitting a global launch in early April, giving fans more than enough time to pre-order it before it launched.

LG hasn't let up with the G5's spec sheet, with an array of powerful internal kit making the cut, here are some of the specs that are making their way onto the handset...
With a host of new things to know about, we take a look at the main new features and how it effects your usage.
Like previous LG smartphones before it, the LG G5 boasts a physical home button on the back side of the handset. Whilst it does take a few minutes to get used to, once you've got used to it you'll be at cruising speed with no problems. This time, LG has also thrown in a fingerprint scanner as well, so your phone is now more secure than it's ever been.
Able to read your print in a split second, the LG G5's fingerprint scanner helps you ditch those passwords and lock patterns for a much simpler way of accessing your phone. Plus, with Android Pay on the way, you could even be paying for your goods without your wallet or purse, simply grab your LG smartphone and let your fingerprint do the paying. Topping everything off, it even acts as the phones power button, effectively killing two birds with one stone in terms of functionality.
Ever wanted to just glimpse at your phone for a quick look at the time or to see if you have any notifications waiting for you without having to press a button? With the LG G5 you can now do that, thanks to its Always On display, which uses up less than 1% of the battery capacity each hour, what will the LG G6 be like?.
This display doesn't just sit there doing nothing either, instead providing valuable information for you around the clock. Features on display include the time and date, whilst notifications including messages and missed calls also show up without you needing to unlock the device for a quick glance. Also, thanks to LG's smart technology, the phone knows when it's face down and will turn off the display when needed, to ensure that the feature doesn't go unused.
Rocking a removable battery, the LG G5's modular build is one of the most exciting features we've ever seen on a phone, allowing you to swap batteries in and out, as well as add other features, like an attachable camera application with an improved battery as well. It's a step in an interesting direction from LG, that's for sure.
LG won't be staying put with just these launch modules either, with more devices sure to be launched to follow the release of the phone. Third party manufacturers will be invited to include modules as well, helping make the LG G5 one of the market leaders for modular technology, even ahead of the likes of Project Ara.

Obviously, with new flagship phones come high prices, but there's no reason why you won't be able to find a contract for the LG G5 which gives you the handset for no up-front cost. In fact, with our deal finder you should be able to find a deal to suit any budget - although you should be warned of high monthly costs if you do want to save cash on the lump sum payment. Alternatively, if you are interested in mobile contracts with bad credit take a look at our dedicated page.
You can expect to pay upward of £45 per month should you get the G5 for free, but this obviously depends on your tariff as well...
